Selling online

I've decided I'm going to sell through a website which is aimed at the ethical market.  The number of buyers will be small but that's OK with me.  It means I can enjoy the process instead of worrying about building up a business for business' sake and losing the passion.

I've contacted a graphic artist who is going to redo the logo for me properly and also do all my other business documents, so everything will have a streamlined effect.  I am so looking forward to getting it all happening.  It's all coming along nicely and I should be ready to go by my mid-June deadline.

For now, please check out Ethikl, it's an online store similar to etsy but with an Australian focus.

The logo I've designed to express the simple yet practical philosophy behind Skin Füd.

Facebook

I've set up a page at facebook, but there's only so much you can do without photos of the products to get excited about.

Website is done

I will be setting up a website next week, but in the meantime, have set up a temporary page to talk more about the business and give people a way to get in touch with me.  It was actually much easier than I thought, still I will be really happy when I have my own site, set up exactly the way I want it.

And so it begins

Well here it is at last, the first blog entry.  I've been having a ball since I decided to get back into making skin care, after a couple of years hiatus.  It's really helped me to work out what I want this business to stand for and how I want to incorporte my own personal beliefs into what I do.  I think there are a lot of people out there, just like me who care about the planet and not wasting their money, but don't really know how to make a difference.  I'm hoping I can show people that doing what makes you happy can work.
